State of the Medium
Narrative in AR

Sponsored by A+E Networks, History Channel and NYC Media Lab, this experience observes the evolution of media from 1968 - 2018 and speculates on how media will change by 2068. By focusing on an annual event with consistent messaging in US politics, the project examines the way media has shaped how we consume and respond to news.

"State of the Medium" is an Augmented Reality experience examining how media consumption has changed since 1968. An exploration into the history of news and media consumption over the last 50 years, focusing on the annual State of the Union Address.

DataTouch
AR Data Visualizer

As a fellow in Bloomberg’s AR Prototyping fellowship, I created DataTouch, a data visualizer that would create digital data visualizations from paper documents.

My talk begins at 0:36.

Earlier this year, through a partnership between Bloomberg, NYC Media Lab and augmented reality startup Lampix, five teams of design and engineering graduate students developed augmented reality (AR) concepts based on the Lampix AR platform.
